Minimum Proof of Ownership Standard
Updated over a week ago

At UnVale, keeping your original creations safe and secure is incredibly important to us. Because of this, we’ve put together a policy to help make sure characters stay with their rightful owner.

If there is ever a user on UnVale that claims to own one of the characters on your profile, the user must present a paper trail of ownership on a secure OC management platform (like Toyhou.se or UnVale, for example) or in staff-accessible messages on the UnVale Discord. Screenshots of Discord conversations or other private discussions will not count as sufficient proof of ownership, as these can be altered, and they lack valuable context.

As a user– OC creator, OC owner, or both– we ask that you are smart with how to handle trading and purchasing characters online. The surest way to keep your OCs safe is to use an OC management platform for all transactions!

At the end of the day, we know that these situations often contain a lot of nuance, and that there is no one policy that can cover every scenario perfectly. Every report made to UnVale will continue to be handled on a case-by-case basis by a member of staff, with the utmost care.

Thank you for joining us on this journey and being a member of our community!
