Hey there! If you're a parent or guardian looking to learn more about UnVale, look no further! You've come to the right spot.

This article will provide information for adults raising young creatives on how UnVale functions, how your teen might spend time on our UnVale, and shares resources on how you can best talk to them about keeping their online experience comfortable and safe.

What is UnVale?

UnVale is a creative platform that's all about sharing original art, stories, and cool creations! We are an Anti-AI and Never NFT platform that believes in the rights of human artists and their creative properties. Our team is small, but full of diverse creatives coming from all types of backgrounds.

Age Requirements

In order to use UnVale you must be 13 years old or older. Our platform is strictly PG-13 and we do not allow R-Rated content on UnVale.

How might my teen use UnVale?

There are many ways to use UnVale! As mentioned before we're a space for creatives to share their creativity in the form of original characters, stories, and worlds. They may participate in our monthly art events, weekly challenges, or even chat with other creatives about their work.

Sharing Art

Teens are able to upload art they've created either traditionally or digitally. Typically, the art seen on UnVale is of Original Characters, typically referred to as OCs. UnVale also allows fan art, real life art studies, and more!

Writing Stories

Using our on platform writing tool, teens are able to write stories about their characters and worlds. From short stories and poems to full chapters of books and more!

Creating Worlds

Worlds is our version of Folders on UnVale. With Worlds, community members have the ability to world build, categorize, and even create lore for their stories. At this time, Worlds are only owned by one person and no one else has the ability to edit someone else's World.

Communication

UnVale Community members primary way of chatting amongst each other is via UnVale's commenting system. Comments can be left on Profiles, OC pages, Worlds, Writing, and individual images. All comments are able to be reviewed by the UnVale team and any seen not fitting the UnVale standard are removed and the user is reach out to for their behavior. UnVale does not have a direct messaging system at this time.

Moderation and Safety Tools

We currently have a few methods on how we moderation creatives content on UnVale, while also being aware of creative liberties.

Platform Moderation

UnVale has a team of Site Moderators who take the time to review the work uploaded on to UnVale and report anything suspicious/does not fit on the platform to our team. Light matters are reviewed weekly and urgent matters (anything immediately breaking our guidelines) is reviewed immediately with action being taken within 24-48 hours of notice.

Community Moderation

Community members have the ability to report pieces of art, writing, and more on our platform. Everything reported is reviewed by the UnVale staff which is then handled accordingly. We take cases of art theft, plagiarizing, harassment, and so on very seriously. Community members also have the ability to reach out to staff via our support button where they are able to speak directly with a team member for support.

Support with the UnVale Team

Our Community and Creation Guidelines apply to all work and all interactions in the UnVale community. The rules are enforced by UnVale staff who handle each situation case by case as we understand that all situations need a human touch of understanding and compassion.
