Warnings, Bans & Appeals

Descriptions, bans and appeals and how moderation is carried out on Unvale.

In order to keep Unvale a great and welcoming place sometimes we have to hand out warnings & in more severe cases, bans to users who are not following our Creation & Community guidelines.

We have created this article to give users piece of mind in regards to how we moderate on Unvale.

Please note that the guidelines are up to staff’s discretion and may vary, this article acts as a brief overview.

Warnings

  • Warnings are handed out by Unvale Staff (Staff have a STAFF button next to their name and are also listed in our About Us section. Please be aware the staff button may not appear on certain pages or on the app at this time)

    • These are currently handed out in Comments of Profiles, Characters, Posts and Writing/Art

  • Warnings are typically given once or twice. This depends on the guideline broken before further action is taken against the account

    • This number isn't static, and is ultimately up to Unvale Staff's discretion.

  • Warnings for more sensitive or severe situations may be given via the email connected to the account

Staff will never ask for sensitive information such as ID, bank details or similar, especially not with the intent to warn or suspend an account.

Restrictions

  • Accounts may be Restricted (unable to leave comments, post etc.) if they are found to be breaking guidelines

  • Sometimes an account may be erroneously reported and thus, restricted, these cases will be handled by staff appropriately

Bans

Bans are handed out for severe cases, these are handed out at a member of staff’s discretion for:

  • Repeated offences

  • Severe cases of behavior that goes against Unvale’s values

Bans can be temporary (meaning the user is free to return after a set amount of time) or permanent.

Some temporary bans may be Restrictions instead of the account being archived, such as accounts that fail to meet the age requirement to be on Unvale! (It's 13+ if you were unsure)

Archived accounts

  • Accounts ending in _archived are accounts that have been deleted, this applies to both user-requested deletions and bans.

Ban Evasion

  • Ban Evasion is categorized as returning from a ban (usually on a new or existing account they have access to) before the time a user is permitted to return.

  • Users caught ban evading will have a ban turned from temporary to a permanent ban

Appeals

Appeals can be sent to the Support Desk or emailed to hello@unvale.io from the 15th of June 2026.

Appeals will only be considered after 6 months after a ban has taken place.
